My name is Lacey Wright and I am a 2001 graduate of Joppa High School, a 2003 graduate of Shawnee Community College, and a 2005 graduate of Eastern Illinois University.  I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in English.  I began teaching a Maple Grove Elementary in August of 2005 as a 3rd grade teacher.  I live in Grand Chain, IL with my husband, Jeff, daughter, Riley, and our dog, Trixie.  My husband and I have been married since June of 2005 and our daughter was born in February of 2007.

I have a younger brother, Landon Sommer, who is a high school math teacher at Massac County High School.  My parents are Gary and Connie Sommer of Grand Chain, IL.  My father is the postmaster in Grand Chain, IL and my mother is employed at EEI.  My parents are avid Harley-Davidson riders!

Some of my hobbies include scrap booking, stamping, and spending time with my family and friends.  My husband and I enjoy spending time riding four-wheels and drag racing.  He does most of the racing and I do the watching!

I enjoy teaching very much and love to watch children understand something for the first time.  It is truly an amazing experience and I am so fortunate to be able to work with the people I do.
