Tamara Peck is our wonderful and delightful second
grade teacher at Joppa Maple-Grove Elementary. Mrs. Peck takes care of her
husband, Charles Peck, and her two young boys nine year old Cody and
two-year old Carly.
Mrs. Peck was born in Sumter, South Carolina, but
lived most of her life here in Massac County. She attended Shawnee
Community College and SIU; after her first semester she decided to
switch her major from accounting to Elementary Education. She loves seeing
children excited about learning. She loves children,
and enjoys how they are ready to learn. She does not like all the
frustrating paper work that she has as a teacher, but she loves teaching
here, in fact, she loves it so much that she has been here
fifteen years. In her spare time, she loves to ride her motorcycle.
