Mrs. McGinnis is a wonderful math teacher here at
JHS.
She is happily married, has a grown son, and one very spoiled
Australian Shepherd named “Chloe.” Her favorite thing to do is to go to
yard sales/antique stores/and flea markets. She also loves to listen to
the Beatles and to read. When she was growing up, Nancy Drew was her hero.
McGinnis attended Metropolis Community High School for three years, but
graduated from Glade Valley School, a boarding school in North Carolina.
She went to college at Shawnee College Metro Center, and then went to SIU
where she graduated in 1998. Now, she is a teacher here, and plans to stay
forever.
