Our web department and
yearbook staff went on an interview to Mrs. Godfrey. Several of the
questions they asked of her and her response are listed below. Mrs.
Godfrey is a 5th grade teacher at Maple Grove Elementary.
Yearbook: What is your job at Joppa Maple Grove Elementary?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I love teaching the fifth grade!
Yearbook: Do you enjoy teaching?
Mrs.
Godfrey: Absolutely!
Yearbook: What do you like best about your job?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I enjoy teaching students who really want to learn and
helping those who need a little extra encouragement. I am very blessed to
be able to share a classroom with such wonderful students.
Yearbook: Are you married, if so to whom? Do you have any children?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I am married to David Godfrey, who is a member of our
school board, and we have five sons, Larry, Jason, Austin, Carson, and
Dalton. We are soon to have one daughter (in-law),CaSandra, as Jason is
preparing for his wedding in March.
Yearbook: What are some of your hobbies?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I love to work in my garden and in my greenhouse. It is
both enjoyable and relaxing. I also enjoy fishing, cooking, and most of
all—spending time with my family.
Yearbook: Where did you attend College?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I graduated from Shawnee Community College and Murray
State University.
Yearbook: Who was your childhood hero?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I have always admired my Mother, she is a true
inspiration to me, I guess, you could call her my hero!
Yearbook: When did you first decide that you wanted to become a
teacher?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I have always wanted to be a teacher. When I was young, I
used to make my younger sisters “play school”, and I was always the
teacher, even though they called me “bossy”!
Yearbook: Has teaching at here been a good experience for you this
school year?
Mrs.
Godfrey: I really like working at Maple Grove. This is a great
school to work in, because everyone is very helpful, nice, and friendly. |
