Beth Adkins is the teacher’s aid at Joppa High
School. She is married, to Tom Adkins, who just returned from a year
deployment in Iraq. She has two children, Alisa who is freshmen, and
Daniel, who graduated in 2002 from Joppa High School. She has no
grandchildren, yet. She has two dogs, Sammy and Pedro. Beth loves to
listen to music, sing a lot, work on computers, and the great outdoors.
She has many favorites about her job, she feels as
though she is pulled in many different directions. She grew up about three
miles outside of Joppa, attending Joppa High School. After graduating, she
went on to Shawnee Community College. She likes the thought that she might
change a young person’s life, or make them like school and learn. She has
taught thirteen years at Joppa, and four years at other schools.
